blog #1 entry
Hey fam!
I’m really excited to share that I’m now part of the newly launched Rainflower roster. I had already worked closely with Erik over the years on several mixing and mastering projects, and I always respected his ear, his attention to detail, and the artists he surrounded himself with. So when he reached out to me about a new label he was starting called Rainflower, I was immediately interested. Knowing his taste and the level of care he puts into his work, it felt like something I genuinely wanted to be a part of from the ground up. We initially discussed collaborating with some of my existing music projects, and while the timing wasn’t right for one of my bands, we did end up teaming up for a release with one of my side projects. During those conversations, I brought up the idea of launching a brand new digital project I had been conceptualizing, something separate from my other work, fully focused on ambient compositions with subtle slowcore elements woven throughout. I wanted a dedicated space to experiment with atmosphere, texture, and restraint in a way that felt intentional and immersive, under its own identity. The team was open and supportive of the vision from the start, which made it feel like the right home to bring it to life. That project became “running empty,” a new chapter creatively, and I’m honored to be building it alongside Rainflower as they begin this new journey.
